New Directions Education is currently recruiting enthusiastic and dedicated SEN Supply Teachers and Teaching Assistants to work across Manchester and Salford in a variety of special educational needs settings.
We work in close partnership with schools, alternative provisions, and specialist settings that cater to pupils with a wide range of additional learning needs, including ASC, ADHD, SEMH, and MLD. Whether you’re newly qualified or have years of experience, we have opportunities to suit your availability and strengths.
Role Responsibilities:
Support pupils with additional learning needs in group and one-to-one settings
Work collaboratively with teachers, support staff, and external professionals
Adapt lesson plans and learning activities to meet diverse individual needs
Encourage pupil independence and support personal development
Maintain a safe and inclusive learning environment
Build positive and professional relationships with pupils and staff alike
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
Experience working with children or young people with special educational needs
A calm, patient, and empathetic approach
Good understanding of SEN strategies and behaviour management
A relevant qualification (e.g., CACHE Level 2/3, PGCE, QTS, or equivalent)
An enhanced DBS certificate on the Update Service (or be willing to apply for one)
Flexibility and willingness to travel throughout the Manchester and Salford area
