About the School:
• A well-established secondary SEND school in Crosby, offering education to students aged 11-19 with a wide variety of complex needs, including Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC), Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD), Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD), and additional social, emotional, and behavioural challenges.
• The school focuses on providing an inclusive, nurturing environment where each student is supported to reach their full potential, with a strong emphasis on individualised learning, life skills, and emotional well-being.
The Role:
• Work closely with students to provide both 1:1 and small group support in the classroom and across the school environment.
• Assist in the development of students’ academic, social, emotional, and life skills.
• Support students with personal care and mobility where needed, ensuring their safety and dignity at all times.
• Be a positive and supportive role model to students, helping them to thrive both in and outside of the classroom.
The Ideal Candidate:
• Experience working with children or adults in a SEND, care, youth work, or health-related role is desirable, but not essential.
• We encourage applicants from a variety of backgrounds, including care, social work, the NHS, youth support, sports coaching, or any role involving transferable skills.
• The successful candidate will be required to undergo an enhanced DBS check and register with the Update Service if not already done.
• Employment references from the last 5 years will be needed.
