An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Spanish Teacher to join a vibrant and inclusive secondary school in Sefton this January. This role is ideal for an experienced MFL specialist or a committed ECT who is passionate about delivering high-quality Spanish lessons and supporting pupils from diverse and often disadvantaged backgrounds to achieve their full potential.

The Role:
Teach Spanish across Key Stages 3 and 4 (with potential for KS5 depending on experience), delivering dynamic and culturally rich lessons that build linguistic confidence and cultural awareness.
Deliver curriculum content including (but not limited to): KS3:
Basic grammar and sentence structures
Vocabulary building (family, school, hobbies, local area, holidays)
Present and near-future tenses
Introduction to Spanish culture and traditions
KS4 (GCSE):
Themes such as identity and culture, local and global areas of interest, current and future study and employment
Use of past, present, future, and conditional tenses
Reading, writing, listening, and speaking exam preparation
Cultural topics related to Spanish-speaking countries
Foster a positive and engaging classroom environment that encourages curiosity, confidence, resilience, and independent learning.
Contribute to the wider life of the department through events, trips, or cultural enrichment activities (desirable, not essential).
The Ideal Candidate:
A qualified teacher (QTS) with experience teaching Spanish at KS3 and KS4 (KS5 desirable but not essential).
Able to deliver inspiring, well-structured lessons that stretch and support learners of all abilities.
A recent teaching reference within the last five years.
A valid DBS check (or willingness to obtain one).
Passionate about languages, culture, and raising student achievement.
