Job Description

New Directions are seeking Primary Supply Teachers to work across our partner schools in Trafford and South Manchester. We have opportunities for day-to-day supply as well as short and long-term placements, making this a flexible option for teachers looking to work around their own availability.

This could suit ECTs looking to gain experience across different schools, teachers looking to reduce their hours, or retired teachers who would like to pick up a few days of work.

The Role

• Covering classes across EYFS, KS1 and KS2.
• Delivering lessons and following plans provided by the class teacher.
• Managing classroom behaviour and maintaining a positive learning environment.
• Adapting quickly to different schools, year groups and classroom settings.
• Supporting pupils with their learning and development.
• Completing day-to-day cover as well as short and long-term placements.
• Working closely with school staff to ensure continuity of learning.
• Following school policies and safeguarding procedures.

The Candidate

• QTS is essential.
• Previous primary teaching experience is required.
• Confident teaching across EYFS to Year 6.
• Strong classroom and behaviour management skills.
• Able to adapt quickly and build positive relationships with pupils and staff.
• Reliable, flexible and professional.
• Available for day-to-day, short-term or long-term work depending on your preferences.
• ECTs, experienced teachers and teachers returning to the classroom are all welcome to apply.
