English Teacher Manchester April 2025 – July 2025 £600-1125 per week (PAYE – No Umbrella Company)
New Directions Education are working with an outstanding Secondary School based in Manchester who are looking for a progressive and supportive English teacher to join their team. This will be a long term role starting in April until end of the academic year. We are looking for a strong and enthusiastic English teacher who can deliver inspiring lessons across KS3 and KS4. Whether your speciality is language, literature or both we recruit a variety of roles in English Key Stage 3 (KS3) and Key Stage 4 (KS4).
As an English Teacher you’ll be expected to:
Teach all areas of the school curriculum or your subject specialism
Organise the classroom and learning resources to create a positive teaching environment
Plan, prepare and teach lessons that cater for all student ability ranges
Motivate pupils with enthusiastic, imaginative presentation
Maintain discipline
Meet requirements for the assessment and recording of pupils’ development
Coordinate activities and resources within a specific area of the curriculum, supporting colleagues in the delivery of this specialist area
Stay up to date with changes and developments in the structure of the curriculum
Take part in school events and activities which may take place at weekends or in the evening
Liaise with colleagues and working flexibly, particularly within smaller schools.
