Location: Reddish, Greater Manchester

New Directions Education are seeking a dedicated Food Technology Teacher to join one of our partner Secondary schools based in reddish. This is an exciting opportunity to work with a supportive team in a forward-thinking school committed to delivering high-quality learning experiences.

About the Role:

As a Food Technology Teacher, you will:

  • Plan and deliver creative, engaging lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4.
  • Inspire a love of cooking, nutrition, and food science in students of all abilities.
  • Support students in developing practical skills and theoretical knowledge.
  • Contribute to curriculum development and extra-curricular activities, such as cooking clubs and healthy eating initiatives.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to promote high standards and student progress.

  • A qualified teacher (QTS) with a specialism in Food Technology or related subject.
  • Strong subject knowledge and a passion for your subject.
  • High expectations of students and a commitment to inclusive education.
  • Excellent classroom management and interpersonal skills.
  • A proactive and reflective practitioner, open to continuous professional development.
