New Directions Education is recruiting committed and enthusiastic Trainee Teacher Assistants to support a welcoming mainstream primary school in Sefton with a large and well-established SEND provision. About the School:
A supportive and inclusive primary school catering for pupils aged 4–11.
Strong SEND base offering targeted support for pupils with a range of additional needs including Autism, speech and language needs, learning difficulties and social, emotional and mental health needs.
The Role:
Provide classroom support across EYFS, KS1 and/or KS2.
Work 1:1 or in small groups with pupils who require additional help with learning, communication or behaviour.
Contribute to a positive, safe and inclusive learning environment.
Who We’re Looking For:
Patient, caring and passionate about supporting children of all abilities.
Transferable experience from care, social care, the NHS, youth work, coaching, childcare or similar settings is highly valued.
Must have at least 6 months of referencable experience from the last 5 years.
No prior school experience required – full training and ongoing guidance provided.
Willing to complete an enhanced DBS check and provide employment references from the last 5 years.
