A nurturing Primary School on the Wirral is seeking a dedicated and qualified EYFS Teaching Assistant to join their early years team on a part-time basis, starting as soon as possible.
– Location: Wirral – Start Date: ASAP – Duration: Ongoing, long-term supply – Hours: 3 mornings per week (specific days can be discussed) – Setting: Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) – Requirement: Must hold a relevant EYFS qualification
Key Responsibilities:
Supporting children in their early development through play and structured activities
Working closely with the class teacher and EYFS staff to deliver engaging learning experiences
Creating a safe, stimulating and nurturing environment
Supporting children’s social, emotional and educational needs
Assisting with observations and tracking progress
Requirements:
An EYFS qualification is essential
Previous experience working within a nursery or reception class
A kind, patient and enthusiastic approach to early years education

As a teaching assistant you’ll be expected to:
Assist in the educational and social development of pupils under the direction and guidance of the head teacher, ALNCO and class teachers
Assist in the implementation of Individual Education Programmes (IEP) for students and help monitor their progress
Provide support for individual students inside and outside the classroom to enable them to fully participate in activities
Assist class teachers with maintaining student records
Support students with emotional or behavioural problems and help develop their social skills.
