Location: Wirral Start Date: ASAP Hours: Monday – Friday, 10:30am – 3:30pm Setting: EYFS with some Year 1 support Duration: Ongoing
Are you a qualified and experienced Teaching Assistant with a passion for Early Years? A primary school on the Wirral is looking for a dedicated TA to join their team 5 days a week, working predominantly within EYFS.
The main focus of the role will be supporting children in Early Years, with some additional support in Year 1 maths when required. This would suit someone with a genuine understanding of EYFS who enjoys helping young children learn, develop and grow in confidence.
About the Role
Working primarily within an EYFS setting
Supporting children with their learning, development and wellbeing
Helping deliver engaging, play-based and age-appropriate activities
Supporting children’s communication, social skills and independence
Working closely with the class teacher and wider school team
Providing some additional support with maths in Year 1
Creating a nurturing, safe and inclusive environment for all pupils
Encouraging positive relationships and learning behaviours
What We’re Looking For
An EYFS qualification is essential
Previous experience working within Early Years/EYFS
Some experience working within KS1, particularly supporting maths, would be desirable
A caring, patient and enthusiastic approach
Good knowledge of children’s early development and learning
Strong communication and teamwork skills
Someone who is proactive, reliable and passionate about supporting young children
