Do you have a background in Youth Work and a passion for supporting young people to achieve their full potential? We are recruiting enthusiastic and dedicated Teaching Assistants to join a range of welcoming Primary Schools across Chester. Full-time and part-time opportunities are available, with immediate and ongoing starts.
These roles are an excellent fit for individuals with Youth Work experience who are looking to bring their skills into an educational environment. Your ability to build positive relationships, support emotional wellbeing, and motivate young people is highly valued by schools.
About the Role: As a Teaching Assistant, you will support pupils across EYFS, KS1 or KS2, helping them engage in learning, build confidence and develop key skills. You may work within the classroom, with small groups, or provide 1:1 support for children who need additional guidance.
Key Responsibilities:
Support children’s learning under the direction of the class teacher
Use your Youth Work skills to support pupils’ social, emotional and behavioural needs
Build trust and positive relationships with pupils to help them feel safe and supported
Assist with classroom activities, group work and daily routines
Provide 1:1 or small-group support for pupils with additional needs
Contribute to creating a nurturing, inclusive and engaging school environment
We are looking for individuals who:
Have experience in Youth Work, Mentoring, Community Work, Outreach or similar roles
Are approachable, patient and resilient
Can communicate effectively and build strong relationships with children
Are proactive, reliable and enthusiastic about supporting young learners
Have a genuine passion for helping children thrive
