A warm and nurturing Primary School in Chester is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Year 2 Teacher to join their team on a part-time basis from January through to July. This is an excellent opportunity for an Early Career Teacher (ECT) looking to develop their skills in a supportive Key Stage 1 environment with strong mentoring and induction support.
The successful candidate will be passionate about early learning, committed to pupil progress, and able to deliver engaging and well-structured lessons that support children through the crucial stages of their KS1 development.
As a Year 2 ECT, you will be expected to:
Hold a PGCE with UK QTS
Plan, prepare and deliver high-quality lessons tailored to Year 2 learners
Support pupils through KS1 assessments and learning milestones
Create a positive, inclusive and well-managed classroom environment
Work collaboratively with colleagues, including participation in planning and assessment
Demonstrate enthusiasm, creativity, flexibility and a passion for early primary teaching
