New Directions are currently recruiting for an experienced Year 2 Teacher to join a welcoming primary school in Salford, starting as soon as possible and continuing until Christmas.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a passionate primary teacher looking for a full-time role where they can make a real difference to pupils’ learning and development.
The Role
As a Year 2 Teacher, you will take responsibility for the teaching and learning of a Year 2 class, delivering engaging lessons and creating a positive, inclusive classroom environment.
Your responsibilities will include:
Planning and delivering high-quality lessons across the Year 2 curriculum
Assessing and tracking pupil progress
Differentiating learning to meet the needs of all pupils
Creating a positive and engaging classroom environment
Supporting pupils’ academic, social and emotional development
Working closely with teaching assistants and other members of staff
Maintaining high expectations for behaviour and achievement
Contributing to the wider life of the school
The Ideal Candidate
We are looking for a qualified primary teacher who:
Holds QTS or equivalent
Has experience teaching within Key Stage 1
Has strong knowledge of the Year 2 curriculum
Is confident with planning, assessment and classroom management
Can build positive relationships with pupils, parents and colleagues
Is enthusiastic, reliable and committed to providing high-quality teaching
