Year 5 Teacher – Part Time, Cheshire West and Chester

Job Description

A welcoming and well-regarded Primary School in Chester is looking to appoint an experienced and enthusiastic Year 5 Teacher on a part-time basis from January through to July. The school offers a supportive environment, collaborative staff team and well-resourced classrooms, making it an excellent opportunity for a teacher passionate about upper KS2.

The successful candidate will be confident in delivering the KS2 curriculum, committed to raising attainment, and able to create engaging learning experiences that challenge and support all pupils in Year 5.

As a Year 5 Teacher, you will be expected to:

• Hold a PGCE with UK QTS/QTLS
• Plan, prepare and deliver high-quality lessons aligned with the Year 5 curriculum
• Support pupils’ progress in preparation for upper KS2 expectations
• Provide a supportive, structured and engaging classroom environment
• Work collaboratively with colleagues on planning, assessment and moderation
• Bring creativity, enthusiasm, strong behaviour management and a passion for teaching
