I have enjoyed working for my Account Manager and the team at New Directions this past year.  They are always helpful in finding suitable placements  for us. Work is flexible and interesting, when working in a variety of different placements.  Giving more chances to meet many new people and gaining lots of experience. I am very happy to continue working for them.

A year ago I joined New Directions as a newly qualified Level 2 Learning Support Assistant. After years of re-training I finally found the job I love that, not only works around me and my large family, but has given me the confidence to carry on with my Level 3 course. Straight away New Directions found me a long term position in a local primary school and I have been there ever since. I registered with New Directions 9 months ago with no school experience. I was trying to gain experience in order to find a permanent job that worked around my child care needs. In this time, the ladies in the Support Services department have placed me in a number of positions and I have gained SIMS experience. My latest position has now led me to be offered a permanent contract, which is down the road from where I live and fits around my children. I cannot thank you enough for all the help and support you have given me. If it wasn’t for New Directions and the wonderful people who work there I would never of found my perfect job. #couldntbehappier

My account manager has been a fantastic support through my first year of teaching. As a newly qualified teacher, the prospect of supply work seemed extremely daunting but she has been incredibly helpful and uplifting. New Directions are a brilliant agency to work for. Their staff have given me numerous opportunities to widen my experiences within the childcare sector. They are always polite and respectful when contacting me.  I have now done lots of work all over Cardiff and gained great hands-on experience within special needs schools and I’ve also carried out various 1:1 work- all thanks to New Directions.

When allocating me work, New Directions kept me as local as possible which was very helpful because I didn’t have a car when I first started with the company, My Account manager always gives me feedback that she’s received from schools that I’ve worked in and this has been a lovely confidence boost.
