I signed up with New Directions in June 2014 with my application being processed by Kelly. I found her to be very competent and professional in all aspects of the process. She has continued to be supportive and reliable as I have worked with New Directions over the last few months. Kelly manages to combine her professionalism with a friendly and approachable manner which makes me more than happy to have her as my account manager.

We are able to contact Kelly at any time, even out of hours and make arrangements for whatever cover is needed.
The calibre of Teachers and Teaching Assistants that has been provided has been of a high standard.
Life is made much easier when we know we can rely on New Directions to meet out relief needs and we have always been very happy with the way the New Direction staff are very friendly, attentive, and professional.

Kelly has been my link for supply Teaching Assistant bookings for a number of years and I have always found her to be very professional and efficient at all times. Her communication is excellent, she conveys information regarding bookings in a timely manner and she works hard to fulfil extra-ordinary requests i.e. BSL communicator.
On a personal level Kelly has a warm and friendly manner and is a pleasure to deal with.

Nadia, Teaching Assistant
I have thoroughly enjoyed working for New Directions over the past couple of years. I’ve had the chance to work as a TA in many different schools in and around the Swansea area – whether for one day at a time, or two week blocks at the same school – which has given me invaluable experience in working with children and in schools. Additionally, it has been a crucial aspect of gaining me a place on the PGCE primary programme at UWTSD Swansea next year; it has undoubtedly helped me decide that teaching is definitely for me.
Kelly is a great account manager – she is always very pleasant to talk to on the phone and understands that because of university commitments, I cannot work very often at the moment – but always keeps me in mind for work regardless. Overall, I would recommend New Directions Education to anyone who is interested in working in a school environment, but needs a more flexible working routine than a fixed job.

Since my earliest dealings with New Directions last year when I began my post as Acting Headteacher at Ysgol Llechyfedach, my dedicated account manager has more often than not been dealing with my requests for supply cover. During this time I have built up a rapport with my account manager over the phone and am reassured that she understands and appreciates what the schools requirements and needs are when it comes to effective supply cover.
My account manager is always pleasant, polite and friendly to deal with. She has always made a tireless effort to find someone suitable for cover, sometimes at short notice. She has also worked hard to secure some recent longer term covers at our school, staying on late at times to ensure that the placements were confirmed.
Because of my account managers openness and reliability, my first port of call for supply teachers is always New Directions, and we currently have three members of staff (1 teacher, 2 class assistants) at Llechyfedach until the end of term who have all been found for us by our account manager.
I look forward to working again with our account manager during the future weeks and months and would recommend New Directions to other headteachers.

I have an excellent relationship with New Directions and I always hear from Michelle. She always makes sure that I receive work and supports me when working long term. Since returning from London it has made me realise that people can survive on supply. It has helped a great deal to get my name mentioned between Head Teachers. I would recommend New Directions and I cannot praise Michelle enough! She is the reason I get the opportunity for long term posts. She is extremely supportive and reassuring.

Good working relationship. Very clear communications and impressed with the service I have received. Very reliable and have been in contact on a weekly basis which has been great. Showed a genuine enthusiasm when giving feedback from schools and a really great attitude. My highlight of working with New Directions was being told by my point of contact that I am in demand from a number of schools. I am grateful that Michelle was able to place me in these schools as an NQT. Michelle has been fantastic as I have mentioned above. I’ve been very happy with her service and the company in general. I would recommend New Directions.

Our Account Manager, Michelle provides an excellent service for our school. She has an understanding of our requirements and always manages to allocate relief teaching staff who she knows will fit in well within our establishment. Communication is always good and teacher passports are sent to aid our DBS vetting system. New Directions provides a professional service to our school with competitive rates. The supply teachers sent are of a high standard and feedback and monitoring is always required by the agency which further enhances the provision provided. We would recommend New Directions.

“I have been working through New Directions for four years now, and would like to say that it’s been really a worthwhile experience.
When I was invited for an interview, I was a little apprehensive about the outcome, as working with an agency was a new experience for me. I needn’t have worried; the team were very friendly and took great pains to explain the terms and conditions to me. In fact, I had more to say to them in terms of when I was available for work!
One thing in particular makes the Swansea team so easy to work with, is that whenever I phone, they are always up to speed on everything, so full marks for office management. I hope to work with the team for a long time yet, so a big thank you to them, and best wishes to anyone joining New Directions.”
