New Directions have been my employer on and off for over 5 years. My account manager gives me work regularly. She is a chatty and friendly person. From my own experience I find her very professional and easy to talk to. I feel I can speak openly and honestly with her and she listens and takes my opinion on board (regarding schools). I have regular contact with my account manager, normally on a daily basis via phone, text and email. I have been to plenty of lovely schools. I was also introduced to a school through New Directions and taught there for nearly three and half years. My experience with New Directions for most part has been positive. I have been working as a supply teacher for New Directions for over 5 years. I regularly speak to the team on a daily or every other day basis either by telephone, text or email. I am completely open with New Directions that I also work for another agency to ensure I gain full-time employment; however my Account Manager regularly provides me with work whenever possible. I have to say working with her and other members of the team has made a real difference. She has provided a professional but also sympathetic service where needed. I feel I could communicate any problems to my Account Manager from schools if there were any issues and she would understand, listen and also look to see how any issues could be corrected without pre-judgement. I have worked for New Directions for less than a year but I have worked in a range of schools across key stage 2 and foundation phase. It has given me lots of experience I would not have gained in a permanent role.
