Shannon has only been my account manager for a short period but during this time I have found her extremely pleasant to communicate with. Shannon very quickly picked up my school preferences, preferred age groups and desired working routine.

The team at new Directions are always quick to respond to any queries I may have and to resolve any problems.

After a 39 year full time teaching career in two schools, I have greatly enjoyed the variety of schools that I have worked in.

I have met up with many ex colleagues and also former pupils who are now parents themselves. Having expressed an interest, New Directions found me a placement in the same reception class I started in many years ago, I was so excited!

I have been working as a teacher for New Directions for more than 5 years. My account manager Shannon communicates to me via text messages, email as well as phone calls on a regular basis. I am given the type of work I want, in particular schools and key stages, and the amount of work I require. Shannon has a good relationship with me knowing my preferences etc.

The highlight of working with New Directions is that they know my strengths but they also give me opportunities to work in other areas that I don’t get the chance to often work in, such as a nursery setting.

Having been associated with them since qualifying speaks volumes. I have been with other teaching agencies but have found New Directions to be much more professional on many levels including finding good quality work on a regular basis and the friendliness of the staff that deal with me. This is my fourth year working with New Directions. I have always been placed in schools when I am available and free to work. I have always been given work in the foundation phase, which I enjoy working with as it makes it a comfortable working environment. I did try key stage 2 and I did not enjoy it so my account manager always ensures I am in key stage 1 classes.

I love going to different schools and working in different classes as I enjoy the challenges. Even when I teach key stage 2, I manage the class and complete the work the teacher sets which always makes me feel good as a teacher as I have assisted the children to learn.

Overall, New directions always offer me work, they ensure I am given work when I’m available and are very friendly. I hope to continue work with New Directions and continue being given work when I am available and require it.
