I had reservations on registering with another agency due to already being with several, and not happy with the service. However on registering with New Directions I met my Account Manager and my initial observation of her was how professional and pleasant she was. She was a great listener and very honest in what she could offer me. I liked her response when I said ‘I do not want to be promised work and there is none as I have had this promise previously with other agencies’ to that she replied ‘my job is to get you out there, or there is no point in me sitting in this office’.
I admired her for that, in my opinion my Account Manager is a credit to New Directions – she is honest and to date has done what she said she would do.

I registered with New Directions late last year at the Birmingham city centre office. This was a pleasant building and easy to find. My Account Manager made me feel very welcome and at ease as she explained about New Directions, their aims and achievements so far.
The information given to me has since proven to be accurate and very informative. This has left no room for uncertainty or doubt. I know exactly what to expect from New Directions, my consultant and myself.
I have worked at several placements this year and my Account Manager has always made sure that I know and understand the directions to a new building and what will be expected from me when I get there. As such I walk into every job with confidence. Any concerns or questions I might have are always answered quickly and with clarity. I hope to continue to work at New Directions and would recommend the Birmingham team to others.

I have used New Directions for supply staff since the beginning of the Spring Term 2012. I have used New Directors for supply Lunchtime Supervisor staff. My Account Manager has always sent me staff of a high calibre and if a problem has occurred (only on one occasion) she has rectified it immediately.
I feel we have an open and honest relationship and I am able to speak openly and plainly to her, which I very much appreciate.

I signed up with New Directions after they were recommended to me by a teacher friend who was very happy with the service that they had offered her. I enjoy working as a supply teacher for New Directions as they provide with me regular and suitable work, near to my home. My recruitment consultant is friendly, supportive and helpful. She always gives me a clear brief of the class I will be teaching and takes the time to follow up each placement with a phone call to find out how I found the school and to provide me with relevant feedback too. New Directions system of electronic time sheets is much easier and more straightforward than the paper version that many agencies use. I am also looking forward to attending an autism awareness course which New Directions have arranged in my half term holidays.

In late 2011 I moved from London to the Wirral, in hopes of continuing my work in disability support. I applied online for a position with New Directions, and after a successful interview, I was allocated as my consultant. From the very beginning she has always done her best to provide me with shifts that fit around my other job, but which are also easily accessible as I don’t have a car. My Account Manager always displays an extremely friendly demeanour, and always endeavours to address any problems or queries I have quickly. She also always provides me with any feedback she receives from the workplace, and has been a brilliant source of support.

We as a School have worked with New Directions for our supply staff. The quality of the staff are of an excellent standard , very flexible within their duties , punctuality is very important to us and all supply staff have provided us extra time when they have been able to. We have kept many as long term staff and they are part of our school team.
The office staff are very friendly and always available and meet our needs. Our Account Manager is always very pleasant and professional even on weekends. If she is not available at the time I call, whoever answers the phone is always passes on my message and I am called back immediately.

Since joining New Directions, I have always had the same Account Manager. She is always very polite and helpful and is very keen to find work for me. She also ensures that any positive feedback she gets from the school about me is passed on to me and that is always very encouraging, especially as I am an NQT. She is enthusiastic when offering work but does not mind if it is turned down for one reason or another. Additionally, I wouldn’t hesitate to speak to my Account Manager if I had a problem with a placement as I know she would be very supportive.
