I have been registered for Learning Support Assistant work with New Directions for seven months. I was contacted by the Additional Learning Needs account manager who offered me positions in specialist Additional Learning Needs Schools. She has been amazing at finding me work and I can’t thank her enough for giving me the opportunity to work in a variety of different classroom environments. One of the posts I have been working in via New Directions was advertised as a permanent role and I was lucky enough to get the post.  I value all of the experiences I have had within the Additional Learning Needs Schools and I would definitely recommend New Directions Education for anyone looking to gain experience in Mainstream and Additional Learning Needs Education.

Gemma is such a bubbly, happy and lively character who is an absolute joy to work with. Nothing is ever too much trouble and Gemma is so trustworthy of providing the absolute best candidates for us as a school.
She also knows and understands the feedback we also give and hopefully we are able to provide a reliable evaluation of the staff sent to us. On many occasions Gemma has gone the extra mile to help me to find the right candidates for a supply position, when things have happened last minute here and I have needed cover staff. Gemma is so conscientious and will always attend to every detail of situations when cover is needed. Gemma has also built up excellent working relationships with my Deputy and office Staff, through regular school visits to check that everything is ok here for us. Her commitment to her role is exemplary.

I initially found out about New Directions Education via searching on the internet. I found the registration simple and was introduced to Matthew who looks after me and my bookings. Matthew is always positive and a pleasure to deal with – both over the phone and in person; Matt even got me into work straight away as an exam invigilator before the summer break. I have now completed my Level 1 Cover Supervisor Course which will enhance my chances of getting work locally. Matt has been outstanding overall. His optimism, support and general demeanour makes him a pleasure to deal with.
