Summary of Role:

Responsible for ensuring that all New Directions brands have a steady flow of candidates available for placing into work, along with the maintenance of live candidate files. This is a full time, 40 hours per week role.

Main Duties:

  • Safeguarding the organisation by completing risk and suitability assessments on candidate applications
  • Adhering to ND’s compliance, vetting and registration processes
  • Managing large quantities of candidates to see the whole registration process through from application to activation
  • Ensuring references are completed as per ND’s referencing policy
  • DBS submission and countersigning
  • Conduct thorough risk assessments in relation to DBS’ and reference information
  • Conduct regular checks with governing bodies such as EWC, TRA and Update Service
  • Conduct regular right to work checks with governing bodies such as Share Code checks and Employer Checking Service
  • Completing document appointments, capturing candidate documents and ensuring all are valid and original seen
  • Auditing and making files live, ensuring attention to detai
  • Consistently working to reduce candidate turn around time
  • Meeting set KPI’s and SLA’s
  • Attend the weekly team brief
  • Support with the training of new team members
  • Responsible for providing a steady flow of Compliance approved supply staff
  • Responsible for taking reasonable care of your own health and safety and ensuring that you take reasonable care not to put other people (including fellow employees and members of the public) at risk by what you do or do not do in the course of your job
  • Responsible for safeguarding assets within your control and posession, including but not limited to hardware, software, systems, or information, and to report any suspected breach in security without delay, to the relevant personnel as required
  • Responsible for the non-disclosure of any confidential information and/or trade secrets of the Company to third parties and/or the misuse of any confidential information and/or trade secrets of the Company for your own purpose/benefit
  • Responsible for establishing, maintaining, and developing excellent working relationships with colleagues within your department and the wider Company
  • Responsible for delivering exceptional levels of customer service; both to internal and external customers
  • Responsible for communicating with people in a respectful, courteous, and professional manner at all times

Experience, Skills and Qualities:

  • Minimum of A'Level or equivalent or proven experience in administrative skills
  • Awareness of the recruitment process and compliance
  • Developed time management skills– plan and prioritise effectively
  • Ability to make decisions using policies and procedures
  • Communication skills – verbal and written
  • Customer Service – ability to build rapport
  • Ability to work as part of a team
  • Ability to work individually
  • Competent user of RDB, Screening, Swyx and Teams
  • Knowledge of Child Safeguarding procedures
  • Awareness of REC Code of Conduct
  • Ability to remain authoritive
  • Results driven, driving excellence and quality standards
  • Ability to deal with problem solving
