Job purpose:

As a Support & Compliance Administrator, you are responsible for ensuring that New Directions Education, Social Care and Pharmacy have a steady flow of candidates available for placing into work. This must be achieved by following New Directions’ compliance, vetting and registration processes

Main duties:

  • Keeping a diary of candidates to see the whole registration process through from start to activation. Following ND’s compliance processes, ensure that all vetting requirements are completed before a file is activated.
  • Using Access Screening daily to manage large quantities of candidates, ensuring the application process is smooth and efficient
  • Utilising the internal systems together, both Access Screening and RDB to ensure all information is transferred and correctly keyed onto the database
  • Auditing and making files live, ensuring attention to detail
  • Conduct thorough risk assessments in relation to DBS’ and reference information
  • New Directions DBS submission and counter-signing
  • Conduct regular checks with governing bodies such as EWC, TRA and Update Service
  • Conduct regular right to work checks with governing bodies such as Share Code checks and Employer Checking Service
  • Gathering and scanning candidate documents and ensuring all are valid and original seen, adhering to compliance processes
  • Sending and ensuring references are completed as per referencing policy
  • Submitting DBS applications ensuring all document are correct and details are accurately entered
  • Managing a set time for making candidates live

Main responsibilities:

  • Responsible for providing educational supply staff with a professional agency supply service
  • Responsible for compliance with all relevant legislation, and processes, policies, and procedures
  • Responsible for taking reasonable care of your own health and safety and ensuring that you take reasonable care not to put other people (including fellow employees and members of the public) at risk by what you do or do not do in the course of your job
  • Responsible for safeguarding assets within your control and possession, including but not limited to hardware, software, systems, or information, and to report any suspected breach in security without delay, to the relevant personnel as required
  • Responsible for the non-disclosure of any confidential information and/or trade secrets of the Company to third parties and/or the misuse of any confidential information and/or trade secrets of the Company for your own purpose/benefit
  • Responsible for establishing, maintaining, and developing excellent working relationships with colleagues within your department and the wider Company
  • Responsible for delivering exceptional levels of customer service; both to internal and external customers
  • Responsible for communicating with people in a respectful, courteous, and professional manner at all times

Educational/qualification attainments:

Minimum of A Level or equivalent or proven experience in administrative skills.

  • Knowledge of Education Sector
  • Knowledge of the recruitment process and compliance
  • Excellent time management skills – plan and prioritise effectively
  • Ability to make decisions using information and intelligence

  • Competent user of RDB, Screening, Swyx and Teams
  • Knowledge of Child Safeguarding procedures
