Croeserw School Concert

One of our Account Managers for Primary Education, Anna Powell, recently had the pleasure of being invited to attend Croeserw Primary School’s Annual Christmas Concert.

Croeserw Primary is located in the village of Croeserw in the county of Port Talbot, standing on top of a hillside in the Afan Valley, with splendid views across the rolling countryside.

Croeserw’s School concert was entitled “Somewhere In My Memory”. This heart-warming production involved the whole school taking part and no concert is complete without a rendition of Mariah Carey’s “All I want for Christmas”.

There was a sense of festiveness in the air with the whole community coming together to support the School. Many a proud face could be seen in the audience, with an abundance of people participating during the performance.

Mrs Jones the Music Coordinator at Croeserw School has always written and produced the Concerts herself. This year however the Year 5 and 6 pupils wanted to be more involved and came up the idea to add a pantomime element to the show, which has not been done in previous years, and was a huge success.

Julie Thomas, Supply Coordinator at Croeserw School, commented: “Parents were very keen to support the Christmas production in terms of attendance and helping out with costumes which highlighted the great community spirit we have here.”

Anna Powell, Primary Account Manager at New Directions, commented: “After attending the concert I was definitely in the Christmas mood. But, more importantly I was really impressed with the dedication and commitment of the cast and teachers who had rehearsed tirelessly to put on the best show they possibly could.”
