New Directions are seeking a passionate and dedicated SEND Teacher to join our inclusive and nurturing team based in a school in Liverpool. You will be responsible for delivering high-quality teaching and learning to pupils with a range of special educational needs, including those with EHCPs. Job Specification
Experience working with children with SEND in mainstream or specialist setting.
Strong understanding of a range of learning difficulties and strategies to support them.
Plan, prepare and teach lessons that cater for all student ability ranges
Motivate pupils with enthusiastic, imaginative presentation
Maintain discipline
Meet requirements for the assessment and recording of pupils’ development
Coordinate activities and resources within a specific area of the curriculum, supporting colleagues in the delivery of this specialist area
Stay up to date with changes and developments in the structure of the curriculum
Liaise with colleagues and working flexibly, particularly within smaller schools.
