New Directions Liverpool is seeking trainee teaching assistants to work in both mainstream primary schools and special educational needs (SEN) schools in Liverpool. In this role, you will provide essential support to children with a range of challenging behavioural issues and severe learning difficulties, helping them thrive in their educational environment. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a positive impact on young lives while advancing your career in education.

The Role

• Support pupils in the classroom under the guidance of the class teacher
• Support small groups and individual pupils, including those with additional needs
• Deliver targeted interventions, including phonics support (training can be provided)
• Make use of outdoor learning opportunities to enhance pupil engagement

• A caring, patient, and positive attitude
• A genuine interest in working with children and supporting their development
• Willingness to learn and develop new skills
• Ability to work well as part of a team
• Worked within the Care Sector or Child like environment

Requirements

• References covering the last 5 years
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
