Job Description

New Directions Education is currently recruiting for a dedicated and enthusiastic Early Years Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming and supportive primary school in Aintree. This is a full-time position with an immediate start, offering an excellent opportunity for long-term work, with the potential to become a permanent role.

The Role:

  • Supporting the teaching and learning within the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS), working closely with class teachers to create a stimulating and safe learning environment
  • Assisting with planning and delivering activities that promote children’s social, emotional, and educational development
  • Providing one-to-one and small group support as needed, including supporting pupils with additional learning needs

The Ideal Candidate Will:

  • Have experience working with children in an Early Years or primary school setting (EYFS experience is essential)
  • Hold a relevant Level 2 or Level 3 qualification in Supporting Teaching and Learning or Early Years Education (or equivalent)
  • Be willing to complete (or already hold) an enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service
  • Be able to provide at least one recent reference related to working with children within the last 5 years
