New Directions Education are currently recruiting an enthusiastic and motivated Early Career Teacher (ECT) to work in a welcoming primary school in Helsby. This is an excellent opportunity for a newly qualified teacher to begin their teaching career within a supportive and inclusive school environment.
The school is a community-focused setting with a strong emphasis on pupil wellbeing, inclusive learning, and staff development. The leadership team is supportive and committed to helping ECTs build confidence and develop professionally during the early stages of their teaching career.
• Delivering engaging and effective lessons across the primary age range
• Creating a positive, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment
• Supporting pupils’ academic, social, and emotional development
• Managing classroom behaviour in line with school policies
• Planning and adapting lessons to meet the needs of all learners
• Assessing pupil progress and providing feedback where required
• Working collaboratively with teaching assistants and school staff
• Contributing to the wider school community and school activities
• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or be due to achieve QTS before September
• Recent teaching placement experience within a primary school setting
• Strong classroom management and communication skills
• A proactive, enthusiastic, and reflective approach to teaching
• The ability to build positive relationships with pupils and staff
• A strong understanding of safeguarding and the primary curriculum
• A genuine passion for supporting children’s learning and development
