Job Description

New Directions is working with several secondary schools in Wirral looking for a cover supervisor to join their team. This role is to start as soon as possible, covering lessons for years 7-9 across the curriculum.

We supply Cover Supervisors to schools in Neston, Ellesmere Port, Eastham, Prenton, Wallasey and West Kirby

Cover Supervisor Role:

• Supervise students during short-term teacher absences
• Deliver pre-planned lessons and ensure student engagement
• Manage classroom behaviour and foster a positive learning environment
• Offer guidance and support to students as needed
• Work collaboratively with school staff to ensure seamless lesson transitions

Cover supervisor requirements:

• Previous experience as a Cover Supervisor
• A confident and approachable demeanour 
• Strong classroom management abilities
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Flexibility and adaptability to work across various classroom settings and subjects
• A genuine commitment to supporting students’ learning and overall well-being
