New Directions Education is seeking dedicated, full-time SEND Teaching Assistants to join a highly supportive specialist provision in Liverpool. We are looking for individuals who are passionate about helping children with additional needs thrive and who can bring experience, commitment, and enthusiasm to this rewarding role.
About the Provision:
• A specialist setting supporting children with a wide range of additional needs.
• Experienced staff team and excellent facilities designed to meet the needs of pupils with Autism, communication difficulties, learning disabilities, and social, emotional and mental health needs.
• A warm, inclusive environment where every child is valued and supported to achieve their full potential.
The Role:
• Provide consistent, full-time support within a specialist provision for pupils aged 4–11.
• Work 1:1 and in small groups with children who require tailored support with communication, learning, sensory needs and/or behaviour.
• Assist with structured routines, personalised learning activities and therapeutic strategies.
• Help maintain a safe, positive and nurturing learning environment.
Who We’re Looking For:
• Patient, resilient and passionate about supporting children with additional needs.
• Must have experience working with children or young people with SEND, such as Autism, SEMH needs, learning difficulties or communication needs.
• Experience from care, social care, the NHS, youth work, education or childcare settings is also highly valued.
• Able to commit to full-time hours.
• Willing to complete an enhanced DBS check and provide references from the last 5 years.
