New Directions Education is looking for enthusiastic and caring Learning Support Assistants to join our team, supporting learners with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) across Leeds. What You’ll Do:
Provide one-to-one and small group support for pupils with additional needs
Assist with classroom activities, adapting resources to meet individual learning goals
Support emotional regulation and positive behaviour strategies
Work closely with teachers, SENCOs, and therapists to deliver tailored support plans
Encourage independence, confidence, and engagement in learning
What We’re Looking For:
Experience supporting children or young people with SEND (school or care setting)
Understanding of inclusive practices and SEN strategies
Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for helping learners succeed
Strong communication and teamwork skills
A willingness to learn and adapt in a dynamic environment
