New Directions Education is currently recruiting a passionate and committed Biology Teacher to work in a secondary school in Sefton, supporting pupils from a range of backgrounds, including a high proportion of Pupil Premium learners.

The Role
Deliver high-quality Biology lessons across KS3 and KS4, with opportunities to contribute to KS5 provision.
Plan engaging lessons that develop scientific knowledge and practical skills.
The Ideal Candidate
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
Experience teaching Biology in a secondary school setting is desirable.
Able to deliver KS3 and KS4 Biology topics such as cells, organisation, infection and response, bioenergetics, homeostasis, inheritance and ecology, and support students with required practical skills.
Strong understanding of strategies to support Pupil Premium students and close attainment gaps.
Willing to undergo an enhanced DBS check and register with the Update Service, if not already done.
Must have employment references covering the last 5 years.
