Purpose-built specialist SEND school in Cheadle, Stockport, offering excellent facilities designed specifically around the needs of its pupils.
The school supports young people aged 11–19, covering Key Stage 3 through to post-16.
Pupils have severe and profound learning difficulties, PMLD and autism, alongside complex communication and additional needs. The role involves supporting pupils both in the classroom and with their wider development and independence.
The ideal candidate
Previous experience supporting pupils with complex SEND, particularly SLD/PMLD, autism and significant learning difficulties, is essential.
A strong understanding of communication needs and differentiated learning, with the ability to adapt support and use appropriate strategies to help pupils engage and make progress.
A patient, resilient and nurturing TA who is confident supporting pupils with a wide range of needs and can build strong relationships while working effectively as part of a specialist team.
