Are you an experienced and dedicated Teaching Assistant looking for a rewarding role supporting a child on a one-to-one basis? We are currently seeking a part-time 1:1 Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming primary school in Wirral, providing tailored support to a Key Stage 1 pupil.
This role would suit a compassionate and resilient individual with strong behaviour management skills who is passionate about helping children overcome barriers to learning and achieve their full potential.
The Role
Providing dedicated 1:1 support to a Key Stage 1 pupil.
Supporting the pupil’s academic, social and emotional development.
Implementing strategies to encourage positive behaviour and engagement in learning.
Working closely with the class teacher and SENCO to deliver targeted support.
Assisting with classroom activities whilst promoting independence.
Building a positive and trusting relationship with the pupil.
The Ideal Candidate
Holds a recognised Teaching Assistant qualification or relevant school-based experience.
Has experience working with primary-aged children, particularly within Key Stage 1.
Demonstrates strong behaviour management skills and the ability to remain calm under pressure.
Is patient, nurturing and committed to supporting individual pupil needs.
Has excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Can build positive relationships with pupils, staff and parents.
