Every child deserves the right support to succeed, and at New Directions we’re looking for a SEND Teaching Assistant who can make that difference. Starting in September, you’ll join a welcoming primary school in the Corrie area of Tameside, providing tailored support to pupils with SEND in a rewarding full-time role.

The Role
Provide 1:1 and small group support for pupils with SEND, adapting learning to meet individual needs.
Work closely with the class teacher and SENDCO to implement tailored support strategies and interventions.
Build positive relationships with pupils, helping to promote engagement, confidence and progress throughout the school day.
The Ideal Candidate
Has previous experience supporting children with SEND, ideally within a UK primary school.
Holds a Teaching Assistant qualification (desirable but not essential).
Is patient, proactive, reliable and committed to making a positive difference to children’s learning and wellbeing.
Requirements:
Previous experience working with children with SEND is essential.
Experience working within a UK school setting is highly beneficial.
Available to work full time, Monday to Friday, 8:30am – 3:30pm, from September.
