Job Purpose
We are seeking a caring and committed SEND Teaching Assistant to support pupils with Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD) and complex needs.
This is a highly rewarding role where you will support pupils with significant physical, sensory, and communication needs in a specialist educational setting.

Key Responsibilities – Teaching & Learning Support
Provide 1:1 support for pupils with PMLD and complex needs
Assist with personal care and daily routines
Support sensory and multi-sensory learning activities
Work alongside teachers and therapists
Use communication methods such as PECS, Makaton, or sensory cues
Help maintain a safe, supportive, and engaging environment

Person Requirements
Experience supporting individuals with PMLD, complex needs, or in care settings
Comfortable assisting with personal care
Understanding of sensory and communication needs
Compassionate, patient, and attentive approach
Strong teamwork skills
Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
Two professional references

Qualifications
No formal qualifications required
Must have relevant experience, such as: Care work
Support work
SEND school experience
