Job Description

New Directions Education are currently recruiting dedicated and enthusiastic Learning Support Assistants (LSAs) to work across primary schools in Winsford. This role is ideal for individuals who are passionate about supporting children’s learning and development within a positive and inclusive school environment.

The schools we work with in Winsford are welcoming and supportive, with a strong focus on pupil wellbeing, inclusive practice, and high-quality teaching and learning. These opportunities provide experience across a range of year groups and classroom settings.

Due to the nature of these opportunities, candidates must be able to commit to working 3 or more days per week.
Due to the location of some schools, a full driving licence and access to transport would be advantageous.

The Role:

• Supporting pupils in the classroom on a 1:1 basis and in small groups
• Assisting teachers with lesson delivery and classroom activities
• Supporting pupils with a range of learning needs and abilities
• Promoting pupils’ social, emotional, and academic development
• Encouraging positive behaviour and engagement in learning
• Helping to create a safe, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment
• Supporting with classroom preparation and resources
• Monitoring and recording pupil progress where required

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

• Experience working with children or young people (school-based experience desirable)
• A patient, caring, and adaptable approach
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• The ability to build positive relationships with pupils and staff
• A good understanding of safeguarding and child protection procedures
• A genuine passion for supporting children’s learning and development
• A Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (desirable)

All applicants must have, or be willing to obtain, an Enhanced DBS check and provide appropriate professional references.
