We are seeking an enthusiastic Physics Teacher to join a high-achieving independent secondary school in Chester.
This role involves delivering engaging Physics lessons across KS3–KS5, with the ability to teach Mathematics also highly desirable. The successful candidate will inspire students through challenging and stimulating lessons, helping them to develop strong analytical, practical, and problem-solving skills.
You will work closely with the Science and Mathematics departments to deliver high-quality teaching, prepare resources, support enrichment opportunities, and contribute to a collaborative and supportive learning environment. The role may also include involvement in extra-curricular activities such as Physics Society, Astronomy Club, and preparation for competitions including the British Physics Olympiad.
The ideal candidate will:
• Hold QTS or have strong subject knowledge and teaching experience in Physics
• Have experience teaching Physics at secondary level, including GCSE and A-Level
• Be able to teach Mathematics confidently across KS3–KS4 (desirable)
• Inspire students through engaging practical and theoretical lessons
• Be passionate about helping young people achieve academic success and develop confidence in STEM subjects
• Contribute positively to the wider life of the school and department
