We are currently seeking a compassionate, dedicated, and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to work within a welcoming school on the Wirral, supporting pupils with Autism and/or ADHD on both a 1:1 basis and in small group settings.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone passionate about making a positive difference to the lives of children with additional needs. The role will initially be on a supply basis, with a strong possibility of securing a permanent contract for the right candidate.
The Role:
Supporting pupils with Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC) and/or ADHD
Delivering tailored support on a 1:1 basis and in small intervention groups
Assisting the class teacher in creating an inclusive and engaging learning environment
Encouraging positive behaviour, emotional regulation, and social development
Building strong, supportive relationships with pupils, staff, and parents
The Ideal Candidate Will:
Have previous experience working with children or young people with SEND, particularly Autism and ADHD
Be patient, resilient, and nurturing in their approach
Have excellent communication and teamwork skills
Be adaptable and able to respond to individual pupil needs
Hold a Teaching Assistant qualification or relevant childcare/support experience (desirable but not essential)
Candidates who have a DBS registered on the update service is advantageous
