We are currently recruiting for a committed and enthusiastic SEND Teacher to join a supportive specialist school in the North Liverpool area. This is a full-time position and offers an excellent opportunity to make a real difference to pupils with additional educational needs within a nurturing school setting.
The school caters for pupils with Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC) alongside a variety of complex learning difficulties, and is looking for a teacher who can create engaging, personalised learning opportunities that help every pupil thrive.
The Role
• Create a safe, positive, and well-structured classroom environment
• Prepare and deliver differentiated lessons tailored to small classes of around 6–8 pupils
• Support students with SEMH and additional needs, promoting both academic and personal development
• Collaborate effectively with support staff, therapists, and other external agencies
• Work school hours of 8:30am–4:00pm, with most teaching taking place between 10:00am and 2:00pm
The Ideal Candidate
• Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent teaching qualification
• Has previous experience working within SEND education or a genuine passion for specialist settings
• Demonstrates a strong commitment to supporting children with additional needs
• Is patient, resilient, and compassionate when working with vulnerable young people
