Are you an experienced Teaching Assistant with a passion for supporting young people to achieve their full potential?
We are currently recruiting dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistants to work in secondary schools across the area, delivering targeted literacy interventions to students who require additional support with reading, writing, comprehension and communication skills.
The Role
Deliver literacy intervention programmes to small groups and individual students.
Support students in developing reading fluency, comprehension and written communication skills.
Work closely with teaching staff and SENCOs to monitor progress and adapt support strategies.
Encourage student engagement, confidence and independence in learning.
Maintain accurate records of interventions and student progress.
The Ideal Candidate
Experience working as a Teaching Assistant in a secondary school setting.
Relevant qualifications in education, literacy support, intervention programmes or a related field.
Strong understanding of literacy development and strategies to support learners with varying needs.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Patient, adaptable and committed to helping students succeed.
