We’re recruiting confident and reliable Welsh Speaking Supply Cover Supervisors to supervise classes during teacher absences, ensuring students remain engaged with the work provided while maintaining a positive learning environment. Experience in education is welcome, but not essential.
If you’ve worked in sports coaching, sports management, team leadership, or supervisory roles, you’ll already have many of the transferable skills we’re looking for, including communication, leadership, behaviour management, and confidence working with groups of young people. Are you a fluent Welsh speaker? Do you have experience working with children or managing/supervising a group of people? Would you like to transfer those skills into an education setting?
You will need to have the confidence to stand in front of a secondary classroom to maintain classroom behaviour, and ensure the pupils stay on task following the work set by the class teacher. There is no teaching involved with this position, the main responsibility of this role is the management of the classroom. Therefore, experience working with children or supervising groups of people along with good communication skills is essential.
There are various day-to-day, part time and full time roles available, with an immediate start.
Working as a Cover Supervisor can be a very rewarding but very demanding role. Schools may wish to employ staff for cover supervision but on occasions where they are not needed for cover, they might also be released to provide additional support to Teachers in classrooms, or to carry out administrative tasks.
