We are seeking caring, adaptable, and dedicated 1:1 Supply Teaching Assistants to work across a range of primary and secondary schools. In this role, you will provide individual support to pupils with a variety of additional learning, social, emotional, and behavioural needs, helping them to access education and thrive in the classroom.
As a supply Teaching Assistant, you will have the flexibility to work in different school settings while making a meaningful impact on the lives of individual pupils. Every placement is unique, requiring a positive attitude, patience, and the ability to quickly build trusting relationships.
Key Responsibilities
Provide dedicated one-to-one support for pupils throughout the school day.
Support pupils with SEND, SEMH, autism, ADHD, or other additional needs, where required.
Encourage engagement in lessons and help pupils access learning activities.
Promote independence, confidence, and positive behaviour.
Work closely with class teachers and SENCOs to follow personalised support plans and classroom strategies.
Adapt your approach to meet the individual needs of each pupil and school setting.
Monitor progress, report observations, and contribute to a positive learning environment.
Support pupils during classroom activities, breaktimes, and transitions when required.
