We are working with a welcoming primary school in Birkenhead that is looking to appoint a dedicated Teaching Assistant to work within their Reception class.
This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced TA who has a strong understanding of Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) and enjoys helping young children develop their confidence, independence and love of learning.
The Role
Supporting pupils within a Reception classroom
Working closely with the class teacher to support learning and development
Supporting play-based and child-led learning
Helping children develop their communication, social and emotional skills
Providing individual and small-group support where required
Supporting classroom routines and creating a safe, nurturing environment
Encouraging children’s independence and confidence
What We’re Looking For
Previous experience working within EYFS/Reception is essential
Strong knowledge and understanding of the EYFS framework
Experience working with young children in a school, nursery or Early Years setting
A caring, patient and enthusiastic approach
Excellent communication and teamwork skills
Passion for supporting children’s learning and development
