New Directions Education are currently recruiting for Cover Supervisors to work in various Secondary Schools throughout Ceredigion. The position will be working as general cover throughout the schools covering day to day absences and courses.
As a cover supervisor you will be expected to supervise pupils whilst they carry out work that has been pre-prepared by a teacher, manage the behavior of pupils whilst they are undertaking this work, deal with any immediate problems & be familiar with the school’s policies and procedures.
The days are flexible depending on each of the school’s needs and we offer the chance of day-to-day cover as well as long term opportunities which often lead to permanent contracts. This role offers practical classroom experience and the opportunity to later apply for teacher training through New Directions Education. Alternatively, you may be a qualified teacher looking for temporary work which will not require planning, marking and assessment.
You must have a proven track record of managing or leading that can be transferred into a classroom environment, specifically, your experience must include leading groups of 10+, this could be groups of children, youth work or adults with learning difficulties.
