New Directions is currently recruiting for an experienced Examinations Officer to work across secondary schools in Cardiff. We are seeking a highly organised, detail-oriented professional with prior experience in managing the examinations process in an educational setting.
As the Examinations Officer, you will be responsible for the administration, organisation, and smooth running of all internal and external examinations within the school or college. You will work closely with teaching staff, senior leadership, and awarding bodies to ensure compliance with regulations and to support students through their examination journey.
Key Responsibilities:
Coordinate all aspects of the examinations process, including entries, timetabling, invigilation, and results distribution
Liaise with exam boards and ensure full compliance with awarding body regulations
Recruit, train, and manage invigilators
Prepare examination venues and ensure secure handling of confidential materials
Communicate exam timetables and protocols clearly to students and staff
Support students with access arrangements or special consideration requirements
Maintain accurate records and data relating to examinations
Contribute to post-results services including reviews of marking and appeals
