New Directions are seeking an experienced and flexible School Administrator, to work on a temporary supply basis in primary schools in the Swansea area.
Due to the nature of supply all applicants must be flexible and reliable and willing to work in different schools, covering internal absences such as sickness and maternity. The working hours will usually be 8:30 – 15:30, although this can depend on the specific school requirements.
We are seeking applicants who can demonstrate an excellent working knowledge of the School Information Management System (SIMS). Some previous experience using sQuid would also be beneficial.
Duties will include:
Being the first point of contact for parents, pupils and staff
Greeting visitors and issuing name badges
Answering the phone, taking messages and responding to school emails
Logging pupil attendance and lateness on SIMS and contacting parents
Collating school dinner money and school trip money
Processing school invoices and cheques
Updating student and staff records on SIMS
Creating and running SIMS reports
This is a brilliant opportunity for an experienced School Clerk to join us, for flexible work in various local primary schools.
We recruit a wide variety of school office staff roles, including school secretaries, receptionists, administrators, and school clerks.
Duties are varied and may include the following:
Receptionist duties such as answering the phone and welcoming visitors
Administrative duties such as typing letters, sorting post, managing emails
Dealing with school meals administration, ordering stationery, paying invoices, handling monies, printing and photocopying and managing schools systems like SIMS
School office staff must be well organised as well as having excellent verbal and written communication skills. They must also be able to work well under pressure and be able to prioritise tasks.
Candidates will ideally have previous experience working within a school office. Working knowledge of SIMS system is advantageous.
Schools will expect all school support staff to have a good standard of education, some previous office work experience and ideally previous experience working working within an educational setting.
