About the School:

• The school prides itself on its inclusive ethos, strong pastoral system, and commitment to raising aspirations for all learners.
• The Geography department is supportive, collaborative, and well-resourced, providing staff with the tools needed to deliver engaging and impactful lessons.

The Role:

• Teach Geography across Key Stages 3 and 4 (with potential KS5), delivering engaging lessons that build curiosity, confidence, and strong geographical understanding.
• Deliver curriculum content including (but not limited to):

  • KS3: Weather and climate, global inequalities, tectonic processes, ecosystems, map and fieldwork skills, urbanisation and population change.
  • KS4 (GCSE): Natural hazards, UK physical landscapes, urban issues and challenges, economic development, resource management, climate change, and geographical applications such as fieldwork and decision-making exercises.
    • Foster a classroom culture that encourages questioning, critical thinking, resilience, and independent learning.

The Ideal Candidate:

• A qualified teacher (QTS) with experience teaching Geography at KS3 and KS4 (KS5 desirable but not essential).
• A recent teaching reference within the last 5 years.
• A valid DBS check (or willingness to undertake one).
