The Role
As a History Teacher with New Directions Education, you will:
Deliver high‑quality lessons across KS3 and KS4 (KS5 opportunities available)
Bring historical events, ideas and cultures to life through creative teaching
Support all learners through effective differentiation and clear explanation
Encourage debate, critical thinking and analytical skills
Manage behaviour in line with school policies and create an inclusive atmosphere
Mark, assess and track progress as required in longer‑term placements
Work closely with school staff and contribute positively to the Humanities team
About You
We want to hear from History Teachers who:
Hold QTS/QTLS or are an ECT with strong subject knowledge
Have a genuine passion for History and inspiring young minds
Can create engaging, structured and relevant lessons
Are confident with behaviour management and classroom leadership
Are flexible, reliable and committed to maintaining high standards
Enjoy working collaboratively and adapting to new environments
