We are seeking enthusiastic, committed and experienced Intervention SEND Support Assistants to join the dedicated team within a dynamic mainstream all-age school catering for pupils aged 4-16 years. The school is split across separate primary and secondary sites and therefore successful candidates will be specific to either the primary or secondary school.
The successful candidates will play a key role in delivering targeted interventions and providing individual and small-group support for pupils with a range of Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND). You will work closely with class teachers, the SENDCO and pastoral staff to help pupils access learning, develop confidence and achieve positive outcomes both academically and socially.

Key Responsibilities
Deliver targeted intervention programmes to pupils with SEND across the primary and secondary phases.
Provide in-class support to pupils on a 1:1 and small-group basis.
Support the implementation of Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs) and individual support strategies.
Adapt learning activities to meet the needs of individual pupils.
Promote positive behaviour, emotional wellbeing and engagement in learning.
Foster independence, social skills and confidence.
Monitor and record pupil progress, providing feedback to teaching staff and SEND professionals.
Work collaboratively with teachers, parents/carers and external agencies to support pupil development.
Contribute to a safe, inclusive and nurturing learning environment.
About You

Has experience working with young people with SEMH needs, Autism, ADHD or other additional needs
Is resilient, calm and confident when working with challenging behaviour
Understands the impact of trauma and adverse childhood experiences on behaviour and learning
Can build positive relationships while maintaining clear professional boundaries
Has excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Is adaptable, flexible and able to use their initiative
Has a genuine passion for supporting vulnerable young people
Can work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team
Has a positive, solution-focused approach to challenges
Essential Requirements:
Level 3 Supporting Teaching and Learning Qualification (or equivalent)
Previous experience supporting children and young people with SEND within a school environment
Good understanding of a range of SEND needs and inclusive classroom practices
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to build positive, professional relationships with pupils, staff and families
A patient, resilient and flexible approach
A good standard of literacy and numeracy
Strong communication and teamwork skills
Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or we can put one in place for you)
Two satisfactory references covering a minimum of two years
