New Directions is currently recruiting for a Keyworker for a SEMH Provision in North Manchester, starting asap. This is a full-time, longer-term role.
The School:
Secondary SEMH setting providing dedicated support for KS3-4 student with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs
Ofsted-rated ‘Good’ with Outstanding features, the school is recognised for its strong leadership, curriculum development and positive behaviour and attitudes to learning.
Delivers a strong curriculum – GCSE and Functional Skills – as well as access to alternative provision
The Role:
Full-time student support for learners across KS3-4 assisting with both academic and emotional development
Small dedicated, well-staffed classes provide tailored lessons to the needs of each students
Working with outside agencies to provide specialist support for learners with SEMH & Complex Needs
The Candidate:
Holding a Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent) is desirable but not essential.
Experience working with children in a classroom setting is preferred; however, we also welcome applications from individuals with backgrounds in care, support work, sports coaching, or psychology.
Candidates with Team Teach training are desirable, however training can be provided with New Directions
