A nurturing school based in St.Helens is on the hunt for a motivated and caring Level 2 Teaching Assistant to join our supportive school community. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is passionate about supporting children’s learning and development, and who enjoys working as part of a dedicated and collaborative team. This role is to start in September.
You will work under the direction of the class teacher and Level 3 staff to support pupils in accessing learning, promoting positive behaviour, and helping to create a safe and engaging classroom environment.
The Role
• Monitor and record pupil progress, providing feedback to staff
• Experience working with children in an educational setting (desirable)
• Support pupils in accessing a personalised curriculum tailored to their individual needs
The Ideal Candidate
• A Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent experience)
• Is confident in managing challenging behaviour in a patient and proactive manner
• Demonstrates resilience, empathy, and a strong commitment to supporting vulnerable pupils
Requirements
• References covering the last 5 years
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
