New Directions are seeking a Level 3 SEND Teaching Assistant to support children in the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) within a caring and inclusive school environment. The role is starting in September in a school based in Bootle. This is an exciting opportunity to work with pupils with special educational needs and disabilities, providing individualized support that promotes development, confidence, and early learning success.
The ideal candidate will be passionate about early childhood education and have experience supporting young children with complex needs, including communication and sensory challenges. You will play a vital role in helping children access the EYFS curriculum and develop key skills for life.
Job Specification
Be confident in supporting early learning, speech and language development and structured routines.
Organize the classroom and learning resources to create a positive teaching environment.
Plan, prepare and teach lessons that cater for all student ability ranges.
Have experience working with SEND pupils in EYFS particularly those with developmental, behavioral or sensory needs.
Support, Nurture and Empower
Meet requirements for the assessment and recording of pupil’s development.
Coordinate activities and resources within a specific area of the curriculum, supporting colleagues in the delivery of this specialist area.
Stay up to date with changes and developments in the structure of the curriculum.
Liaise with colleagues and working flexibly, particularly within smaller schools.
To apply the candidate must have:
Hold a level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent)
Knowledge of the National Curriculum
Able to provide Referees.
An up-to-date DBS Check (or be willing to obtain one)
Eligibility to work in the UK.
